Decorating has for many years been a joy for Peg, and it continues to be an area she likes to write about. While she contributes articles to several shelter publications, she especially enjoys writing for Chicago Home & Gardens.

"I like my home to be a comfortable, warm, and welcoming place for family and friends," says Peg. "My personal style is not ostentatious. Instead, I love collecting and finding antiques that remind me of days gone by. It puts me in touch with the lives of women from the past. Like my writing, I love having a home that calls to mind a memory or creates a place for dreaming."

A Peaceable Kingdom
A Chicago couple trades in manicured lawns, neon signs, and fast food restaurants for eleven peaceful acres and a charming 1845 farmhouse. Discover how they added their own stamp of charm to these rural acres.

The Unfailing Delight of Blue and White
Blue and white-as clean and fresh as a summer morning's sky, as comfortable as a faded pair of well-worn denims, and as welcoming as a garden filled with hollyhocks, bluebells, and hydrangeas. No matter the shade of blue from palest Robin's egg to rich royal blue, this soothing palete invites one to linger.
